    Gerrit Gerritzoons (1466 or 1469 - 1536) was a Dutch humanist and theologian. He wrote under the pseudonym Desiderius Erasmus and was sometimes known as Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam. Querela pacis in an early English translationthat of Thomas Paynell of 1559is in Erasmus, The Complaint of Peace, ed. W. J. Hirten (New York, 1946). Our references to it will be to this edition.
